Sharon will Hasten Redemption

If Husni Mubarak has kind words for Ariel Sharon then it could not be clearer that our Prime Minister is doing something wrong. If Egypt willingly freed the Israeli Druze, Azzam Azzam, you can be certain that a bitter price was paid for his release. . . and he wasn't even a Jew. It makes you wonder how it is possible that Sharon could extract such a deal from an enemy of Israel like Mubarak, yet cannot reason with his friend in the White House to release Jonathan Pollard who has suffered much more than did Azzam, and whose alleged "crime" was far less serious. After all, Egypt, peace treaty notwithstanding, is still an enemy to Israel. The USA is supposed to be our friend and ally.

I suppose nothing is unthinkable anymore in this country. It was our leaders who created the monsters who are poised to destroy us. It was our leadership who gave prestige and credibility to the illegitimate entity whose sole purpose for existing is to destroy the Jewish State. And now, to pay back Egypt for her "kindness" in returning an Arab citizen of Israel who was arrested falsely in the first place, not only are we releasing PLO criminals from Israeli jails, but we are granting "democratic" elections of a new PLO leadership in our own country! Instead of destroying our enemies we are building them up and lending further credence to their fraudulent legitimacy! And all this under, what we thought to have been, a right wing nationalistic leadership!

And, to add insult to injury, our own overwhelmingly elected right wing Prime Minister still insists that all Jews living in the Gaza Strip will be forcibly thrown out of their homes as a unilateral gesture with Israel receiving absolutely nothing in return. It such a comforting thought to know that the Egyptian army will now be patrolling the border with Gaza to prevent the smuggling of arms and terrorists into Israel. Why has it not occurred to our brilliant leaders that the Egyptian government is helping to provide arms to the PLO and has no interest in preventing their being smuggled into Israel?

Ariel Sharon is cutting our wrists and telling us that this is simply a medical procedure which will save us, when in fact he is facilitating our self destruction! Elections for the PLO? We are nurturing the beast who seeks to devour us. Terrorists do not need elections. They need to be ruthlessly destroyed. One doesn't even try to make peace with cancer. He excises it completely until not a trace is left. Every day that we fail to take steps to destroy our enemies, they are hammering yet another nail in our collective coffin. Our enemies are gathering strength and are being encouraged, not only by one another, but also by us! We are active participants in the desecration of our G-d!

Indeed, the G-d of Israel is watching over us and will save us for the sake of His Holy Name. Yet we will not escape His Wrath for failing to sanctify His Holy Name. If only we would recognize the fact that we have the greatest power in the Universe with us we could avoid so much needless tragedy. Instead we turn our backs on our Creator and offer our necks to murderers in the futile hope that they won't cut our throats.

Yes, indeed, our enemies vastly outnumber us. Yes, indeed, they all seek our destruction. So why haven't they destroyed us yet? The reason is that they are still afraid of our G-d. even if we aren't. We have been working overtime to prove to our enemies that there is nothing to be afraid of. We have been inviting them to destroy us with "peace". Our enemies cannot believe our stupidity and are thus afraid that we have a trick up our sleeve. This is why Arafat didn't take Barak up on his suicidal offer. But now, when Sharon can unashamedly state that he will see to it that not one Jew will continue to live in Gaza, and that a new PLO state will be built upon Jewish soil, our enemies are beginning to believe that we are truly prepared to commit national suicide and are preparing to assist us. The old "pie game" is being used again, where Israel is the pie and all the Arab nations line up to get their little piece, including the PLO. When the pie only has a few crumbs left, then our enemies will swoop down and eat them up too.

Sharon has always been a shrewd politician, maybe the most talented in the history of the Jewish State. But this time he has gone too far. There is a limit as to just how far he can go with his clever maneuvering. With G-d's Help his government will fall and he will not be reelected. G-d has told us through His prophet, Ezekiel that there is a limit to His patience. It may well be that we have finally reached that limit. He has no choice but to redeem His Glory which we have so crudely desecrated. Indeed, that is our saving grace. G-d cannot allow His Name to be desecrated much longer. . . and He won't. But woe to all those who do not oppose the desecration, and much more so to those who assist it.

Ezekiel 36:28 "And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be my people, and I will be your God:"
