B"sd Who is Really in Charge? Gary CooperbergDecember 26, 2007The United States of America is depicted to be the ideal democracy. Government of the People, by the People and for the People is the phrase used by President Lincoln in his Gettysburg address. Perhaps this was the intention of the founding fathers of the United States, but is it really what we have today? As the mechanics of politics became more complicated and sophisticated over the years, could it be that unscrupulous individuals who found themselves within key positions of power, yet outside the limitations of political accountability, literally took over control of the country from behind the scenes? How is it that every Presidential candidate I can remember promised to move the United States Embassy to Jerusalem, only to change his mind after being elected to office? How is it that President Clinton promised Prime Minister Netanyahu to pardon Pollard yet reneged at the last minute? It is an absolute power of the President to pardon whomever he chooses without any restriction. I have been reading books about the Kennedy assassination which clearly show that the President of the United States of America was probably murdered by elements within his own government! It was a very well disguised coup designed to fool the American People and restore absolute power to those behind the scenes whom Kennedy apparently defied. It seems to me that the office of President is merely a front...a showcase to make the American People feel as if they are the ones in control. The real power is behind the scene and is pulling the strings of the alleged Chief Executive. This can explain how an intelligent leader can behave so stupidly. I cannot believe that George Bush can really believe that Jews and Moslems can mitigate their differences in peace talks. He certainly knows that these differences can never be bridged. The only peace envisioned by the Arab states is the complete destruction of the Jewish State. Israel wants to live and the Arabs want her to die. How does one begin to mitigate those differences? Perhaps we can negotiate the rate of our self destruction. This indeed seems to be the present case. Our government has thrown Jews out of their homes and handed large parts of our country to our enemies who have used it to launch attacks against us. Yet the very concept of removing our enemies from our homeland is forbidden to be broached! Our Supreme Court has even forbidden the IDF from reducing electricity in Gaza as it will create hardships for the wives and children of our enemies. It would seem that our Supreme Court has higher regard for the families of terrorist murders than it does for their victims. The reality is that our leaders have decided that our fate depends upon the good will of the United States. As such they are prepared to take enormous risks to our very existence in order to please America. This is why every war which we have won was halted before we achieved complete victory. This is why Israel is the only nation in world history which has consistently made concessions to those who lost wars to destroy us. And this is why we refuse to remove our enemies while at the same time brutally disengage our own loyal citizens from their rightful homes. What is even more outrageous than all of this is the fact that it isnt honestly either the American People or their elected leaders which have created these suicidal pressures upon Israel. It is the manipulators in the background who are never encumbered by elections or accountability who decide government policies. Money is power, and it is the Arab nations who possess the vast wealth needed to buy control of those who really decide American policy. Most American citizens really believe that they are living in a democracy. While all the trimmings are certainly there, it is only window dressing. There are those who feel that 9/11 was staged in order to give more absolute power to government...allegedly to protect our freedom. That too is an outrageous thought...but it is conceivable. The American People are good people. But they are living in an illusion. The freedom they cherish is quietly disappearing and they fail to notice. And the last of the Americans to notice is, of course, the American Jew. He wants so much to believe in his beloved America that he will always close his eyes to the dreadful reality which slowly engulfs him. Such was the case of the German Jew. Even when he heard Hitler ranting against the Jews he refused to believe that his fuhrer was referring to him as well. I dont know if America can be rescued from those who have taken her from the democracy her founding fathers always held so dear. But I do know that the future is not bright for Jews living in the USA. The Arab oil wealth has clearly and strongly affected American foreign policy towards Israel in a very dangerous manner. It is only a matter of time before this same power turns against the Jews in America as well. There is only One Power even greater than that which has taken over America. That is the Power of the Living G-d of Creation, the G-d of Israel. It has always been His Will that the Jewish People return to and rebuild her ancient homeland. The very fact of her existence today is an inexplicable miracle. Most Jews, including the leadership of the Jewish State, dont even recognize the greatness of those miracles. With leadership such as we possess, this nation should have been destroyed even before she was reborn. Yet we continue to grow in spite of their reckless efforts at self destruction. This very fact should be proof enough that no power on Earth can destroy this holy nation. The only reason we suffer is because we refuse to recognize our Divine Destiny and act with it. It is our refusal to accept our obligations as Jews which brings terror and hardships. The Jew living in America and other foreign countries is sitting on a time bomb which can explode at any moment. The only sensible thing for him to do in order to protect himself and his family, and to bring a glorious redemption for his people and the entire world, is to return to his G-d and to his Destiny. Redemption is designed to show the entire world that it has a Creator. The Jewish People was chosen to be the instrument to accomplish this. If we seek to accomplish our destiny, G-d will not only help us, he will elevate us above all the Nations. If we choose to ignore it, it will be forced upon us anyway, but accompanied by much needless tragedy such as we are already beginning to see. Only when we begin to fear our G-d more than the president of Iran will we see relief from our suffering. Project Shofar is dedicated to spreading these truths wherever it is possible to do so. It is sounding the alarm, to Jew and Gentile alike, to open our eyes to the G-dly process that is presently underway, and work to support it. We dare not stand idly on the sidelines.
