All the World's a Stage

One cannot help but wonder how it is possible for so many high level politicians to fail to understand that Yasser Arafat is a terrorist chieftain, and that the PLO was created for the sole purpose of destroying the Jewish State. I cannot believe that George Bush doesn't know this or that Ariel Sharon doesn't know this. Yet both men seem to have a need to pretend that they do not understand.
How can it be that a man with the intelligence and integrity of Colin Powell can lower the dignity of both himself and the office he represents by meeting with the likes of an Arafat, and worse, to pretend that any good can come of it. When we watch the words and actions of these people on television, it is hard not to see the imaginary strings which are pulling them like marionettes. We can only guess who is doing the pulling. Truth, justice, honesty and fair play have no part to play in this grotesque theater of political maneuvering. Clearly there are powerful financial and political interests which interfere with logic and honesty.
Sharon is a strong man and brilliant politician. He recognizes his limitations and chooses to play a dangerous game in order to overcome them. Bush is terrified by the enormity of the Arab oil cartel as well as its financial stranglehold over large parts of the American economy. He wants to fight terror, but cannot reconcile himself to the reality that nearly all of the Arab nations are part and parcel of the terror structure which he seeks to destroy. It is a virtual impossibility to enlist such nations to do battle with their own interests.
The only interest that the Arab nations have in forging any kind of alliance with the United States is to use that alliance to destroy the Jewish State. Both Bush and Sharon know this. Neither one likes it, but they can see no way around it. Bush is not about to take on the entire Moslem world, and Sharon is not about to make it any more difficult for Bush than he has to. Thus they both talk of a Palestinian State which neither would like to see.
That the state department is encouraged to hear that Arafat condemned terror is absurd. They have documented proof that the man actually ordered terror and paid for it. It is comparable to resurrecting Hitler and making him Prime Minister of Germany in return for his condemnation of anti-Semitism. After all, he apologized for murdering millions of innocent people so now he deserves a peace prize.
Any honest observer can see clearly that something is very wrong here. In a normal society Arafat would be arrested, tried and hanged as a terrorist murderer. Instead we are still begging him to stop murdering us long enough for us to surrender parts of our homeland to him. This situation is so completely irrational as to serve as proof that the Hand of G-d is at play here. The nations of the world are gathering against the tiny nation of Israel, bent upon destroying her. There is no hope that this tiny nation can survive such a combination of power and wealth. The very fact that not only will she survive, but will see the destruction of all of her enemies will be conclusive proof that the Living G-d of Creation is in complete control. Only then will the world recognize it's Creator and His Chosen People, Israel.
Now, as great nations rise up against the Jewish State, is a time of judgement. Time is running out. All those who truly believe in the Living G-d of Israel and His Bible can see that His Prophesies are coming to pass. The rebirth of Jewish sovereignty in the ancient Land of the Bible is no accident. Those who challenge the right of the People of Israel to all of the Land of Israel are challenging G-d Himself. No people, real or imagined, have any right or hope to build another nation upon our holy soil. Those to attempt to do so are defying G-d and will not escape Divine punishment.
Jews who are still living in Exile must recognize that redemption is beginning. They must make immediate plans to leave the Exile and come home. What is beginning to happen today in France will spread like wildfire to other nations and threaten the lives of our brothers all over the world. G-d has begun to return our homeland to us. It is time for us to return to it as an expression of our love and faith in Him. In return for such expressions He will work miracles and transform the state of Jews into the Jewish State, where all Jews can live as Jews and not be afraid of our enemies, either without or within.
