A Nation that Stands Alone

Why is it that the Jewish State needs to prove to anyone that it did not commit a massacre in Jenin? She is being condemned for what she did not do, when she should be condemned for not doing it. Some of our finest young men were killed only because our government was afraid that the world would condemn us if we would have bombed Jenin before sending in ground troops. So not only did our boys die needlessly, but we got the same condemnation anyway!

This should serve as proof to us that our highest priority is Jewish life, not what the nations may think or say. If we cannot see that the nations of the world seek to defame and destroy us, no matter what we may say or do, then we are just blind. It is high time that we learn to have at least the same self-respect as do our Arab enemies. Were we to fear our G-d more than we fear "world opinion" we would hasten redemption and bring real peace much closer.

When the cowardly Arab beast in Hebron deliberately murdered a Jewish infant girl in her father's arms shooting her in the head with a high powered rifle from the hills overlooking the playground, who cared? Yesterday, when the IDF killed the mastermind of this and other murders of innocent Jewish civilians, the Arab vermin swarmed the streets of Hebron in an angry demonstration of hatred and calls for revenge.

Were we truly ethical we not only would stop trying to prove how nice we are to murderers, but we would finish them off once and for all. Why is there any talk of a PLO state even as we are being murdered by the intended recipients of our kindness? How cowardly and self-effacing can a people be? But, what is far worse, with every failure to act out of Jewish pride and self-respect, we bring humiliation, not only upon ourselves, but upon our G-d. For this we are being punished.

Like it or not, we, the Jewish People, represent G-d on Earth. He created us to be the example for the nations to emulate. When we reject our obligations as Jews and attempt to adopt the strange morality of other nations all we do is bring tragedy upon ourselves. We had no right to put Arafat and his PLO inside Israel. We had no right to suggest that they have any rights in our homeland. And we certainly have no right to even suggest that they will eventually establish any kind of authority on Jewish soil, much less a state. On the contrary. We are obligated to remove our enemies from our midst. When a Gentile lifts his hand against a Jew, he lifts his hand against the Jewish G-d and deserves to have it cut off. How much worse then for a Gentile guest in the Land of Israel who dares to murder Jews, and with guns that we have given them!?

Under the present circumstances, where Arabs, who choose to call themselves "Palestinians", openly declare that Israel really belongs to them, we have an obligation to at least remove such people from our homeland, if not to obliterate them. After the horror which the world witnessed in Ramallah as two lost reserve soldiers were butchered and dismembered to the glee of the cheering mob (I don't remember the United Nations convening an inquiry into that very real and evident massacre), the IDF had an obligation to totally destroy that vipers den. Who can count how many more Jews were murdered by the upright inhabitants of that cesspool of Jew hatred since that horrible event? Had Ramallah been leveled and all of its inhabitants, men women and children, summarily executed, followed by a warning to all other would be terrorists to leave or else, there is no doubt that most would have fled and many lives, both Jew and Arab would have been saved as a result. In war the most moral thing to do is to win as quickly as possible. By delaying, in the futile hope of finding peace through negotiations, all that is accomplished is needlessly prolonged tragedy, for all involved.

No honest entity really believes that there should be a PLO state. There is only one reason why so many nations declare the need to create one. They are afraid of the oil rich Arab countries. Of course most would be more than happy to watch the Jewish State disappear, but the immediate reward of attacking Israel today is to win the approval of the Arab nations which control much wealth and oil upon which these countries depend.

When the leaders of the Jewish State finally understand that we were not meant to be just like all the other nations, and stop trying to be, then we will be well on our way to genuine peace. When George Bush demanded that Sharon retreat immediately from all of the PLO strongholds everyone expected him to jump. Instead, Sharon calmly and politely explained that he couldn't leave until the job was finished. His determination was unshakable and because he was prepared to stand up against any threat to do what he had to do, he succeeded. Unfortunately he failed to recognize how close he came to true sanctification of G-d. Had he gone the extra mile and politely explained why he had to completely remove the PLO and Arafat from Jewish soil, rather than agree to abandon even parts of Judea and Samaria in the future, this too would have found acceptance, albeit with much criticism and condemnation (which we have anyway).

Of course the world is rushing to condemn us. The world is afraid of the Jewish State because it instinctively knows that we are a Divine entity which threatens their positions of power. The only way to remove this fear is to remove Israel. Rather than try to assuage their fears we should make use of it and stand up for Jewish principles even when it seems impossible to do so. Why do the nations hate us so much? They hate us because they hate and fear our G-d. They do not want to believe in Him. Yet when they see with their own eyes fulfillment of Biblical prophesy with the return of the Jewish exiles from all over the world after being scattered all over the world for two thousand years, oppressed, persecuted and nearly annihilated by the most powerful nations in every generation, it is hard not to believe in our G-d. Their only hope to prove that this is not a G-dly process is for them to destroy the Jewish State. And they are trying. This too is why the Pope is so close to Arafat. Arafat is his last hope to keep alive the lies of replacement theology.

We are destined to be a nation that stands alone, not to be reckoned among the nations of the world. As we watch nation after nation distance themselves from us, rather than worry about it we should rejoice. This too is fulfillment of prophesy and only serves to show that the Divine Process of Zionist Redemption is already coming to pass. The blessing of Abraham will soon be clear to all. "Those who bless you, I will bless. And he who curses you I will curse. And through you will all of the families of the world be blessed." Now is the time for all nations and individuals to decide. Blessing can and will only come through the Jewish nation.

Project Shofar is dedicated to spreading these truths wherever it is possible to do so. It is sounding the alarm, to Jew and Gentile alike, to open our eyes to the G-dly process that is presently underway, and work to support it. We dare not stand idly on the sidelines.
