B"sd Sounding the Alarm Gary CooperbergJune 16, 2008Once again I am preparing to fly to the USA to speak to both Jewish and Christian Zionist audiences about Israel. It is the role of the Jewish People to wake up the whole world to recognize that we all have but One Creator. I am very grateful that G-d has enabled me to play my part in that eternal role. It is nothing less than a miracle which enables me to personally travel all over the USA, sound my Shofar and try to open up eyes to the coming Redemption. Despite the seemingly impossible and desperate situation which sees our world on the brink of self destruction, we must take solace in the fact that we can clearly see the Hand of G-d beginning to bring His Prophesies to fruition. Yes, indeed, the madman from Iran is thumbing his nose at the world as he busily works to develop weapons which he believes will destroy the Jewish State. It is “comforting” to know that should he succeed in doing so that the USA will respond. The fact is that the Jewish People have been threatened with extinction ever since our creation. As it says in the Passover Hagaddah, “In every generation there arise those who seek our destruction. And in every generation our G-d saves us from them”. This generation is no different. . . but it may be the last threat we will have to face. Israel, like the USA, seems to be cursed with hapless (mis)leaders. The “captains of our ships” seem to have no idea where we are going. We have been given a very good map which clearly defines our destiny from the time G-d presented it to us on Mount Sinai. Instead of using that “map” to guide us to Redemption, our leaders have devised their own map which leads only to tragedy. Bush’s “Road Map” will never lead to peace. His assertion that Israel must create a new enemy state upon her own holy soil is an affront to the Creator of the Universe and should have been rejected outright by Jewish leaders. The USA rose to greatness only because her founding fathers included the G-d of Creation as a full partner. Today it seems that our leaders seek to throw G-d out of that partnership. This is akin to expecting a strong building to endure while pulling out its foundations from under it. The future of the USA is in grave danger because of this. While it is true that in Israel too our leadership seems to be rejecting our partnership with our Creator, the big difference here is that our partnership with G-d is not based upon how we behave. The rebuilding of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel was not based on our merit, rather upon the beginning of fulfillment of Biblical Prophesy which no power on Earth can alter. It is the Will of G-d that the Jewish People return to the Land of Israel and become a beacon of light unto the nations of the world. It would be better would we choose to fulfill our destiny with joy and determination. But even should we choose to reject our destiny, as did the prophet Jonah, G-d will force us to do His Will in any event. Today we suffer because of our attempts to defy our destiny. But that destiny will prevail in spite of us, as we can clearly see in recent history. Like Jonah, I too am loathe to leave my homeland. But I have discovered that G-d has given me a gift to speak out to those who care to listen. As such I feel it my responsibility to use that gift to serve my Creator. I never go where I am not invited. And I try to go wherever I am invited. I trust His guidance and find myself going places I never thought I would go. And wherever I do go I can see in the faces of those to whom I speak that my words, the words placed in my mouth by our Creator, enter the hearts of those who listen.. It seems that this visit will find me mostly in the State of Texas. This is the first visit which will not see me flying haphazardly all over the USA. Although the days are just about filled up, should you wish to invite me to your neighborhood don’t hesitate to contact me. If I can’t come this time, perhaps I will see you on the next visit. It is exciting to know that so many good people are tuned in to the G-dly dimensions of the time in which we live. Let us all search within ourselves to determine how we can participate in this Divine Process of Zionist Redemption.
