BILLIONS HAVE BEEN SPENT FOR A LIE, WILL YOU GIVE $100 FOR TRUTH?

The question that begs to be asked is, "Can money really manufacture a method to convince the masses that victims are evil and terrorists are good?" The PLO is the epitome of evil and terror. Yet, were we to believe Carter and Dreyfus, the only reason that they are evil and commit acts of terror is because Israel insists upon living in its own homeland. If only Israel would expel Jews from their homes in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, and give all of this land, including East Jerusalem to Arafat, we would instantly have peace and brotherhood between Arabs and Jews. Of course don't bother to ask these genius orators why the Arabs went to war in 1967 when all of this area was completely under Arab control. Facts and Truth get in the way of this blessed accord and thus need not be considered. After all, peace is possible if we really want it.

Shimon Peres, the former Israeli Prime Minister, who never in his life won an election, and who established the famous "Peace Center" which he humbly named after himself, understands better than anyone that true peace can only be achieved by those who are willing to back down on their principles. Peres knows that Arabs will never back down on their principles. He attributes this failing to their primitive nature. Jews, on the other hand are far more progressive and enlightened and thus should set the example by willingly rejecting any principle which stands in the way of negotiating peace with our enemies. It is this philosophy which guides Beilin and his cohorts to accept billions of dollars worth of publicity campaigns to demonstrate to the world that Israel really has no principles and is prepared to do anything in the name of peace. In such a case there really is no need for elaborate plans. All that needs to be done is for our intellectual legislators to legislate two basic changes. One, change the name of the state from Israel to Palestine. And, two, transfer all authority to Arafat. . . for peace. Thus in one simple step the Arab Israeli conflict will end and there will be no dispute. (It is of little consequence that there probably wouldn't be any more Jews either).

Truth is not a commodity which can be purchased or concocted. Lies are. Those who prefer not to consider uncomfortable Truths are easily enticed to accept palatable lies. Such is the nature of Man. But Truth remains, no matter how much time and money are spent trying to deny it. Governmental leaders, of all nations, are under tremendous pressure to please powers greater than they. Politics demand that principles be traded for expedience. And once even the tiniest of principles is discarded, the precedent has been set to discard the rest.

The world cannot stand upon a foundation of lies. The longer mankind deludes itself into believing a false set of values that have no foundation in Truth, the greater will be the tragedy when the conflict between genuine Truth and Falsehood eventually explodes.

Project Shofar is a tiny organization. It has nearly no financial backing. It has no political interests. It operates on the belief that a tiny spark of light can dispel an ocean of darkness. We seek to sound the alarm at a time when fear is being exploited to deny Truth. No one doubts that Islamic fanatics attacked the World Trade Center in New York City, and the Pentagon in Washington. But how can the United States fight mega-billions of Arab petro-dollars already invested in both American real estate and political interests? It is far easier to pressure the tiny Jewish State to at least compromise with demands of the PLO. Political leaders in the USA know what the PLO is. But their problem is far bigger than Arafat. Clearly, even were they sympathetic to the predicament in Israel, America's interest comes first. Thus, they reason, expedience demands that Israel be used to placate radical Islam. In return, America will protect Israel from complete destruction. . . as long as it doesn't interfere with her self-interest.

What ever happened to honesty and fair play? Wasn't this once the backbone of American ideology? "Billions for defense, but not one cent for tribute." Today these values have been discarded as we are prepared to pay tribute to Arab oil sheiks in the coin of the Jewish State.

Project Shofar cannot afford an extravaganza in Switzerland to counter the circus financed by the enemies of Israel. But Truth doesn't need a three ring circus. We would like to sponsor a symposium to be held in Washington DC on or around July 4, 2004 in reaffirmation of the values propounded by the founders of the United States of America. Religious and political leaders who have the courage to declare that America must not sell out her principles to Islamic blackmail will be invited to participate. "In G-d we trust" will be the theme of this symposium as we seek to remind America of her true heritage which is currently being discarded to her peril.
