Rabbi Malchior calls for "Transfer"
Gary Cooperberg June 13, 2002
Once again we hear calls from within the Israeli political scene for the immediate transfer of Jews from Judea and Samaria. This time the call is from the political faction called Meimad, headed by Rabbi Michael Malchior and former head of the Shin Bet, Ami Ayalon. It is an outrage that anyone calling himself a rabbi could be party to such a humiliation of Judaism and Israeli independence.
The reasoning behind this cowardly stance was stated by both leaders:
"We need to leave the settlements as soon as possible, with or without an agreement with the Palestinians," Melchior said. "We simply cannot afford to be an occupier in today's world."
"The need to leave Judea and Samaria is not connected to the security issue but to the continued existence of the Jewish people in the land of Israel," Ayalon said. "If we don't leave the territories, either we will no longer be a democratic society, or we will not be a home for the Jewish people."
The question that immediately comes to mind is, "If you recognize that we cannot rule over a foreign Arab population in Israel, and that it is likely that the Arab population growth will threaten the Jewish identity of Israel, then how do you come to the conclusion that Jews should be removed? Wouldn't a more obvious and realistic solution be that the Arabs be removed?"
It never ceases to amaze me that people who are otherwise quite intelligent would make such stupid statements. Israel is a very tiny country. It is inhabited by a very large Arab minority which is dedicated to our destruction. How could it possibly serve the interest of the Jewish State to make it yet smaller and to give more strength to our enemies? Even should Meimad's proposal be carried out, G-d forbid, how would that prevent the Arab population within Israel proper from continuing to grow and create the exact same threat which finds these geniuses suggesting that we simply leave? Will they then suggest that all Jews pack up and leave Israel for the very same reasons given above?
Why are we afraid to be honest? We fear the truth so much that we choose not to look at it. The Arab population in Israel should never have been given the option to become citizens of a Jewish State. Once that blunder was made it was only a matter of time before the Arabs would find a way to use democracy as a peaceful weapon with which to destroy the Jewish State. Today the PLO has a voice in our Knesset! How is it possible that those who seek our destruction, to the point where they are literally murdering their own children in the form of human bombs to murder Jewish civilians in Israel, can be permitted not only to stay in this country, but to enjoy political power within the Israeli government? And, what is even worse, we have willingly permitted them defacto sovereignty on Jewish soil, giving them bases within Israel from which to launch terrorist attacks against our civilian population. Once they have begun this war of attrition against the Jewish State, it has become a moral obligation to remove them completely from our homeland. Instead we have chosen to beg these murderers to sit down with us and discuss how we can peacefully be defeated without resorting to violence.
It is a nearly unanimous understanding within our political spectrum that even discussing the issue of removing our enemies is a racist concept which cannot be tolerated. Thus, the only rational solution is voluntarily removed as an option! As such all that is left to discuss is the method and time table of our self-destruction. This being the case, I am truly surprised that we have not seen a suggestion to dismantle the Jewish State altogether and plan the resettlement of the Jewish People in various countries of our exile. This certainly would be more humane than simply letting our enemies destroy us and murder our people slowly. Another "reasonable" proposal might be that we simply commit mass suicide and get it all over with quickly and painlessly.
The suggestion that we abandon any part of our homeland is merely a first step which will only lead to our self-destruction. If our leaders do recognize the problem, that we have an ever growing and threatening Arab population which seeks our destruction and is actually implementing it by acts of terror and war against our civilian population, why can they not recognize that the only solution is to remove or destroy those who seek to destroy us? How can they imagine that by removing our own people from our homeland that things will get better? And, if they feel that uprooting Arabs is in some way "immoral", then how can they find the uprooting of Jews as acceptable? Their thinking is clearly flawed and laced with cowardice.
Genuine and honest Jewish leadership would declare war against all those calling themselves "palestinians". That very identity was deliberately designed to replace the concept of Israel. An ultimatum would be delivered offering all those who choose to identify themselves as such three days to pack up and find a new home. After that time all who remain will be forcibly removed. All who resist will be shot. This is the only way to rid ourselves of an ever growing enemy population which is already murdering our people. No one makes peace with murder. The only solution is to remove the source of the murders. . . and that is the Arab population on both sides of the so called "green line".
