Why Is Condoleezza Throwing Rice at Abu Mazen?
Gary Cooperberg June 29, 2003
There is so much confusion at what is going on in the Middle East that it seems that absolutely no one really understands what is going on. Actually it is really quite simple. No one ever expected the Jewish People to succeed in re-establishing sovereignty in their ancient homeland. It was a shock to most, and an abomination to Islam.
The Jewish State, as much as her leaders may wish otherwise, is a religious phenomenon. It is a supernatural creation which will never be destroyed again. It's purpose is to use the Jewish People as proof of the existence of G-d, the One and Only Creator of the Universe, and Prime Mover of all world events. And to set the example for all of the nations of the world to follow.
The Arab nations, including Jordan and Egypt, have never come to terms with the existence of the Jewish State. To do so would be to deny their religious beliefs. Having attempted to destroy her in war, and finding it impossible to do so, it was necessary to find other means to put an end to this embarrassment. By offering to make peace, in exchange for Land, our enemies sought to coax us into helping them to destroy us slowly, and peacefully. A little piece here, another piece there and eventually Israel would become weak enough to destroy, once and for all. That has always been the Arab peace plan. Nothing has changed.
The PLO and its various offshoots came upon an even more creative ploy. They invented the concept of a displaced nation which never existed! They have conducted a war of terror against the Jewish State and an even more effective propaganda war. They claim to be fighting for their freedom which was taken from them by Israel. Were Israel to agree to withdraw to the pre 1967 borders and permit the PLO to build their state in Judea and Samaria, then peace will reign. The biggest problem with this theory is stated with a few simple questions. Why did the Arabs go to war in June of 1967? Why did the PLO not establish its state in all of Judea, Samaria, Gaza and East Jerusalem when it was all in Arab hands? Why was there not so much as a desire to do so?
The answer is that there never was a "Palestinian" nation. Egypt and Jordan had no desire nor intention of relinquishing their control of these areas to anyone. Why then does the President of the United States have a vision of yet another fraudulent Arab state upon Jewish soil? Can he really believe that by rewarding terror peace will result? More likely he is simply trying to curry favor with certain Arab nations who have invested billions in the United States.
Bush is to be commended for refusing to meet with Arafat. It was a courageous and proper decision. But it is a tragic setback to his personal integrity and to the war against terror which sees him turning to Arafat's surrogate as a legitimate alternative. Everyone knows that the PLO is a terrorist organization bent upon the destruction of Israel. But even were this not so; Even were Abu Mazen a gentleman and a lover of peace who honestly wanted to live in peace with Israel, that still is no reason for Israel to abandon her birthright to him. He has no legitimate claim to this land. The fact is that Judea and Samaria is the heartland of the Jewish State. If one is required to cut out his heart for peace, then peace is simply not worth it.
It is high time that all people, Jew and Gentile alike, stop pretending that peace will result from insulting the Creator of the Universe. The Jewish State was reborn as the beginning of fulfillment of Biblical prophesy. It was clearly a miraculous occurrence. For Jew or Gentile to deny the Divine nature of this phenomenon is to invite Divine Wrath upon us all. If the Creator of the Universe defied nature itself by returning Jews to their ancient homeland, how dare we mere mortals seek to undo His Miracles? Not only are we incapable of undoing them, but merely by trying we are denying His existence and inviting needless tragedy. It is not we who can make peace on Earth. That is something only G-d can do. How dare we presume that we can do a better job by defying Him?
The only real roadmap to peace is one that seeks to please our Creator. We need a Jewish leader to clearly and unequivocally declare that we have a holy obligation to possess all of the Land of Israel. It is beyond our capacity to as much as consider giving away as much as a grain of sand on the Gaza beach. And we have a holy obligation to protect our population, not by fighting terror, rather by completely destroying those who seek our destruction. No Arafat, no Rantissi, no Abu Mazen, and no funeral mobs of terrorists to call for the destruction of Israel. We can put an end to all of this. By not doing so we are responsible for the continued murder of women and children on buses and in marketplaces.
So if Condoleezza wants to invite Abu Mazen to the White House, she should know that she too is participating in deceitful propaganda against the Jewish State. This will not bode well for the future of, not only President Bush in the upcoming elections, but for the future of the United States of America.
