There is no such thing as a Palestinian Time to Destroy the Lie and our Enemies
Gary Cooperberg September 18, 2003
Looking at the news in Israel is enough to make anyone despair. Aside from the horrors of terror attacks in so many public places, and the fear resulting from them; aside from the devastating cold blooded murder of our civilian population and the many more "moderate" injuries many of which maim for life; what hurts and frustrates us even more than this is the pitiful response of our government.
A nation at war eventually comes to terms with the tragedies connected to that war in the knowledge that its army is fighting to defeat its enemies. Such is not the case in Israel. To this very day our government refuses to acknowledge that we are engaged in a war with enemies who seek our destruction. Instead they treat each terror attack as if it were an isolated criminal act and then seek to punish the individuals responsible. No matter how successful this tit for tat policy may be in punishing the individuals, the failure to wipe out our enemies completely only serves to reenforce their hope to destroy us, and guarantees even more efforts to do so.
Billions of shekels to build a wall to protect us from the enemy within (a defacto admission that those Arabs are, indeed, our enemies) is an astounding absurdity. Declarations of intent to remove Arafat are not only meaningless, but have actually catapulted the master terrorist to new heights of publicity and sympathy. Trading live terrorists for dead Jewish soldiers makes us a laughing stock and places Jewish prisoners in greater danger. And failure to declare the PLO and all who claim "palestinian" identity as enemies of the state, rather than peace partners, ensures the continuation of relentless efforts to murder and maim our citizens.
It may be true that we depend upon financial aid from the United States. We also seek to maintain good relations with the nations of Europe and Asia. But this is also true of many other nations. How many other nations in the world feel a need to get permission from the USA or any other power before taking steps to protect its citizens from threats to their lives or safety? We cannot afford to waste precious time and strategic advantage by telegraphing our intentions before taking action against our enemies.
The USA has its own strategic concerns which will never permit it to give prior sanction to Israel to destroy her enemies. Yet, despite this fact, were Israel to first destroy her enemies and then, after the fact, either explain why it was necessary, or apologize and promise never to do it again, we may get diplomatic disapproval, but the problem will have been solved and the complaints will eventually die down. The way we are conducting our policies today not only fails to provide safety to our citizens, but it still brings the condemnation of the nations upon our heads. It is nothing short of lunacy to continue as we have. If we remove our enemies we won't need a fence. Rather than deploying border police and soldiers all over our country and in the heart of our cities, we would be able to post them at our borders and protect our citizens as does any normal country.
Let us repeat the axiom until we begin to understand it. "There is no such thing as a legitimate "palestinian" people." The reason for the manufacture of such an entity is to replace Jewish Israel with Arab "palestine". This is an act of war. As such, any source which gives recognition to this term is aiding and abetting the enemies of the Jewish State. We must tell President Bush that, indeed, we do have a choice... only one choice., either Israel or palestine. There can never and will never be two states living side by side on Jewish soil. Let the American president choose. Is he with us or against us. He can't have it both ways.
